Loungekeepers in Venice
In the year two thousand we were asked to be hosts for the Dutch pavilion at the architectural Biennale. During 6 weeks we were present from 10 ‘till 7, six days a week. And we loved it!Yao’s bathtub, his graduation-product, stood in front of the entrance and attracted a lot of attention. Especially when people were taking a well-deserved plunge into the fresh water. For it was hot.We had a really good time with the keepers from other country pavilions, parties! We stayed in a nice little house and felt like genuine residents…The exhibition was about making the private public. One of our tasks was to keep an internet-diary.We called it “The Daily Lounge”.
